Texico, New Mexico in July 1996

Texico gets its name from a concatenation of the names of the bordering states, Texas and New Mexico.  Texico is officially in New Mexico but sits right on the border.  The former ATSF Transcon line passes right through Texico.  In addition, the Hereford, Clovis and Lubbock Subdivisions all come together at Texico.  Traffic is very heavy on the Transcon and trains on the Lubbock Sub just add to the action.  Enjoy the pix!
