| A view of the rotary dumper built
by Heyl & Patterson of Pittsburgh, PA.
The rectangular objects on either side of the track down at the end of the
building were banks of high intensity heat lamps. The lamps were
used during the winter to heat the walls of the coal cars prior to
entering the rotary dumper to release frozen coal stuck to the walls of the
cars. |
